التقي الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم، بالرئيس “مسعود بزشكيان” رئيس الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وذلك على هامش قمة الدول الثماني النامية للتعاون الاقتصادي، التي تعقد بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة.

وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الرئيسين تبادلا وجهات النظر حول التطورات الإقليمية، وسبل استعادة السلام بالمنطقة، حيث أكد السيد الرئيس على أهمية نزع فتيل التوتر الإقليمي وتفادي التصعيد، مشدداً على ضرورة تحلي كافة الأطراف بالحكمة حرصاً على حماية المنطقة من مواجهات خطيرة ستكون لها تداعيات خطيرة على السلم والأمن بالشرق الأوسط والعالم بأسره.
وأضاف السفير محمد الشناوي المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء تناول الأوضاع في الأرض الفلسطينية، حيث تم استعراض الجهود المصرية لوقف إطلاق النار وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر بشأن الأوضاع في لبنان وسوريا.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء تناول أيضا الجهود المشتركة لاستكشاف آفاق تطوير العلاقات الثنائية، بما يحقق مصلحة الشعبين، ويساهم في دعم الاستقرار بالمنطقة.

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, on the sidelines of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation Summit, held in the New Administrative Capital.
The Spokesman for the Presidency stated that the two presidents exchanged views on regional developments and ways to restore peace in the region.
President El-Sisi emphasized the indispensability of defusing regional tensions and avoiding escalation. The President affirmed that it was necessary for all parties to act wisely in order to protect the region from dangerous confrontations that could have serious repercussions on peace and security in the Middle East and the world as a whole.
The meeting also touched on the situation in Palestine, with a review of Egypt’s efforts to implement a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid. Additionally, the two sides exchanged views on the conditions in Lebanon and Syria.
The meeting also focused on joint efforts to explore opportunities for developing bilateral relations, aiming to serve the interests of both countries and contribute to regional stability.
