استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم السادة النواب العموم المشاركين فى المؤتمر الأول لدول الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا بشأن تعزيز التعاون الدولي فى مواجهة التهديد المتصاعد لعمليات تمويل الإرهاب وغسل الأموال، وأعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية لجمعية النواب العموم الأفارقة، وذلك بحضور السيد النائب العام المستشار نبيل صادق.

وصرح السفير بسام راضى، المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس أعرب عن ترحيبه بنواب عموم الدول المشاركين فى المؤتمر وأعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية لجمعية نواب عموم أفريقيا، مؤكداً سيادته دعم الدولة للنيابة العامة ومختلف الهيئات القضائية فى مصر باعتبار أن سيادة القانون هي أساس الحكم، ومشيراً سيادته إلى أهمية العدل باعتباره أسمى القيم الإنسانية وأساس استقرار المجتمعات. كما أكد السيد الرئيس أنه لا يستطيع أحد أن يتدخل فى عمل القضاء واستقلاله، وأن الدولة تعمل على ترسيخ هذا المبدأ من خلال الممارسات.
كما أشار السيد الرئيس إلى أهمية المؤتمر الذى تنظمه النيابة العامة المصرية حول سبل تعزيز التعاون الدولي فى مواجهة التهديد المتصاعد لعمليات تمويل الإرهاب وغسل الأموال، باعتبار هذين الموضوعين من أهم التحديات التى تواجه العالم فى الوقت الحالي، خاصة مع الأزمات المتعددة التى تشهدها الساحتين الدولية والإقليمية، وما للإرهاب من دور رئيسي فى إشعالها، فضلاً عن أثر غسيل الأموال فى استنزاف الاقتصاد الوطني والإضرار بالأوضاع الاقتصادية والاجتماعية للدول والشعوب.
واستعرض السيد الرئيس فى هذا الإطار رؤية مصر لمكافحة الإرهاب، والتي تستند إلى التعامل مع تلك الظاهرة من كافة جوانبها بما فى ذلك الأمنية والسياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والفكرية والدينية، فضلاً عن التصدي لآليات التمويل والدعم السياسي والإعلامي للجماعات الإرهابية، مؤكداً سيادته أهمية تكثيف جهود المجتمع الدولي لمنع استغلال الإرهاب للتقدم المعلوماتي والتكنولوجي مما ساهم فى إضفاء أبعاد خطيرة على ظاهرة الإرهاب التى تستخدم المواقع الإلكترونية وشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي للتحريض على التطرف وتجنيد الأفراد.
وأكد السيد الرئيس أهمية دور جمعية النواب العموم الأفارقة، فى العمل على رفع كفاءة أجهزة الادعاء فى القارة وبناء قدرات أعضائها، مشيراً سيادته إلى دعم مصر لدور الجمعية فى ظل رئاسة مصر الحالية للاتحاد الأفريقي، باعتبار أن تعزيز العمل الأفريقي المشترك يعد أحد أولويات الرئاسة المصرية للاتحاد.
وأضاف السفير بسام راضى أن اللقاء شهد حواراً مفتوحاً بين السيد الرئيس والسادة النواب العموم المشاركين، وجهوا خلاله الشكر للسيد الرئيس ولمصر على استضافة هذا المؤتمر الهام الذى يساهم فى تطوير آليات التصدي للإرهاب، لتواكب التطورات التكنولوجية الحديثة التى تستغل فى العمليات الإرهابية وغسيل الأموال، فضلاً عن تكثيف التعاون لحشد الجهود الدولية وتبادل الخبرات وأفضل الممارسات للكشف والتحقيق.
وقد أكد السيد الرئيس خلال حواره مع السادة النواب العموم على خطورة قضية الارهابين، العائدين من المناطق التى تعاني من الإرهاب إلى دولهم الأم، مما يطلق عليهم المقاتلين الأجانب، وما يمثله هؤلاء من خطورة على المجتمعات، حيث يتم استغلالهم فى نشر الفكر المتطرف الذى لا يؤمن سوى بالقتل والعنف والتدمير.

prosecutors who are participating in the first conference for Middle East and North African countries on ways to enhance international cooperation to face the growing threat of financing terrorism and money laundering, as well as the members of Members of the Executive Committee of African Prosecutors Association.

The President confirmed that the state supports the public prosecution and the judicial authorities in Egypt because the rule of law is the basis for ruling. The President noted the significance of upholding justice as the noblest human value and basis for societies’ stability. The President affirmed that no one can interfere in the work of the judiciary or its independence and that the state works to reinforce this principle through practices.
The President noted the significance of the conference, which is organized by Egypt’s public prosecution on ways to enhance international cooperation to face the growing threat of financing terrorism and money laundering, given that these two topics are among the main challenges that the world is currently facing. This is also in light of the multiple crises taking place both regionally and internationally, which are principally ignited by terrorism, in addition to the effect of money laundering on exhausting the national economy and harming the economic and social conditions of the countries and peoples.
The President gave an overview of Egypt’s vision to combat terrorism, based on addressing this phenomenon from different dimensions including security, political, economic, social, cultural and religious dimensions. This is in addition to combating finance mechanisms and media and political support to terrorist groups. The President confirmed the importance of steeping up the international community’s efforts to prevent terrorism from abusing technological advancement, which has added a new dangerous dimension to this threat by using social networking sites to incite violence and recruit members. The President confirmed the important role of the African Prosecutors Association in enhancing the efficiency of the continent’s public prosecution authorities and building its members’ capability. He noted that Egypt supports the role of the association in light its chairmanship of the African Union and that joint African action is one of Egypt’s priorities during its term.
The attendees highlighted the importance of the conference in developing mechanisms to combat terrorism to counter the developed technologies that terrorist groups exploit to carry out operations and money laundering. This is in addition to enhancing cooperation to mobilize international efforts and exchange expertise and best practices for detection and investigation.
The President confirmed the severity of the issue of foreign fighters and the danger they pose on societies by being used to spread extremism.
