استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم السيد سعد الحريري، رئيس الوزراء اللبناني، وذلك على هامش انعقاد أعمال القمة العربية الأوروبية الأولى بشرم الشيخ.

وصرح السفير بسام راضي، المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية، بأن السيد الرئيس جدد التهنئة لرئيس وزراء لبنان بمناسبة تشكيل الحكومة الجديدة، معرباً سيادته عن تمنيات مصر له ولحكومته بالنجاح بما يلبي تطلعات الشعب اللبناني في تحقيق المزيد من التقدم والأمن والاستقرار، ومبدياً التقدير لحرص السيد الحريري على المشاركة في القمة العربية الأوروبية بشرم الشيخ، لا سيما وأنها تعد أول زيارة خارجية رسمية له بعد تسلمه رئاسة الحكومة الجديدة.
كما جدد السيد الرئيس في هذا الصدد موقف مصر الداعى إلى النأى بلبنان عن النزاعات الإقليمية، حرصاً على لبنان فى المقام الأول وحفاظاً على استقرار المنطقة، وللحيلولة دون ترك المجال أمام قوى خارجية للعبث بالسلم المجتمعى للدول العربية وزعزعة أمنها.
من جانبه؛ أكد رئيس الوزراء اللبنانى اعتزاز بلاده بالعلاقات التاريخية الوطيدة التي تربط الدولتين الشقيقتين، والتي تقوم على أسس من التضامن والأخوة، معرباً عن تقدير بلاده للجهد المصرى في دعم لبنان في كافة المجالات، وكذلك كركيزة أساسية فى حفظ الاستقرار بها والمنطقة العربية ككل، مشيداً بالتجربة المصرية الراهنة المبنية على أولوية النجاح التنموي، ومعتبراً إيهاً نموذجاً يحتذى به في دول المنطقة.
وأوضح المتحدث الرسمي أن اللقاء تناول سبل تعزيز أطر التعاون الثنائي القائمة بين البلدين، بما في ذلك إمكانية الاستفادة من الخبرة المصرية في عدد من المجالات، كمشروعات الكهرباء والبنية التحتية والطاقة، كما تم تأكيد أهمية تعزيز علاقات التبادل التجاري بين مصر ولبنان والعمل كذلك على تعظيم حجم الاستثمارات المتبادلة.
وأضاف السفير بسام راضي أن اللقاء تطرق كذلك إلى استعراض المشهد السياسي اللبناني، بالإضافة إلى مناقشة الأوضاع فى سوريا وتأثيراتها الإقليمية، فضلاً عن جهود مكافحة الإرهاب والتطرف العنيف بالمنطقة.
oday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, on the sidelines of the first League of Arab States-EU Summit in Sharm El Sheikh.
President El Sisi once again congratulated the Lebanese Prime Minister on the formation of the new government, confirming Egypt’s hopes for its success to fulfil the aspirations of the Lebanese people for progress, security and stability. President El Sisi expressed appreciation for Prime Minister al-Hariri’s keenness on participating in the LAS-EU summit in Sharm El Sheikh, particularly as this is his first official foreign trip after assuming the post of prime minister of the new government.
President El Sisi reiterated Egypt’s position which calls for distancing Lebanon from regional conflicts, for the interest of Lebanon, in the first place, and in order to preserve the stability of the region and to prevent any foreign powers from tampering with the social peace of Arab states and from undermining their security.
The Lebanese Prime Minister stressed that his country values its historic and firm relations with Egypt. He expressed his country’s appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in support of Lebanon in all areas, and confirmed that Egypt is the cornerstone for preserving stability in Lebanon and the entire Arab region. Lebanon’s Prime Minister lauded the current Egyptian experience which is based on prioritizing success in developmental areas, noting that Egypt is considered to be a model to be emulated by countries in the region.
The meeting tackled ways to enhance frameworks of cooperation between the two countries and to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in a number of areas, including electricity projects, infrastructure and energy. There was also an agreement on the need to increase trade between Egypt and Lebanon and to boost the size and scope of mutual investments.
President El Sisi and Prime Minister al-Hariri reviewed political developments in Lebanon, as well as the situation in Syria and its regional impact. They also discussed efforts to fight terrorism and violent extremism in the region.
