President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met at his residence in Munich on Friday with Chief Executive Officer of Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW), Mr. Harald Krüger.

President El Sisi confirmed that Egypt seeks to develop its activities in the field of car manufacturing, in light of the elements the Egyptian market offers to attract foreign investments. Those include the legislation that stimulates investments, the new and upgraded infrastructure, and the cheap and skilled technical labor. This is in addition to Egypt’s status as one of the largest markets in the Middle East and Africa, which offers access to the most important foreign markets through the trade agreements that Egypt shares with a number of countries and regional economic blocs. These elements attracted the interest of numerous major international companies to operate in Egypt.
Mr. Krüger highlighted BMW’s successful activities and history in Egypt, and offered an overview of his vision with regard to the modern systems for transport including electric vehicles. This is in addition to prospects of cooperation with Egypt in light of the potential of the Egyptian market and the elements it offers to attract investments. Mr. Krüger also reviewed the future plans of BMW for cooperation with Egypt.

استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم بمقر إقامة سيادته بمدينة ميونيخ، السيد هارالد كروجر رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة بى إم دبليو لصناعة السيارات.
وصرح السفير بسام راضى المتحدث الرسمى باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس أشار إلى سعي مصر لتطوير نشاطها في مجال صناعة السيارات، وما يتضمنه هذا المجال من آفاق مستقبلية حديثة، وذلك في ضوء ما يتمتع به السوق المصري من عوامل لجذب الاستثمارات الأجنبية، بما فى ذلك توافر الإطار التشريعي المحفز للاستثمارات، والبنية الأساسية الجديدة والمتطورة، والعمالة الفنية المُدربة ومنخفضة التكلفة، فضلاً عن أن مصر تعد من أكبر الأسواق في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا، مع إمكانية النفاذ لأهم الأسواق الخارجية من خلال الاتفاقيات التجارية التي ترتبط بها مصر مع العديد من الدول والتكتلات الاقتصادية الإقليمية، وهي العوامل التي أدت الي جذب اهتمام العديد من كبرى الشركات في العالم للعمل فى مصر.
وذكر المتحدث الرسمى أن رئيس شركة بى إم دبليو أكد علي نشاط وتاريخ الشركة الناجح في مصر، كما استعرض رؤيته فيما يتعلق بالنظم الحديثة الخاصة بالتنقل بما فيها السيارات الكهربائية وآفاق التعاون مع مصر علي ضوء إمكانات السوق المصري والعوامل المحفزة لجذب الاستثمارات به، مستعرضاً فى هذا الإطار الخطط المستقبلية للشركة للتعاون مع مصر.
